Why did you choose Wix to build your website?

I chose Wix because of its convenience with the website design templates and its many features like analytics and CRM tools that are offered within the platform. I also felt like the platform was very user-friendly for first-time business owners.

How easy was it to build your website?

Wix is super user-friendly and made it easy for a first-time website builder to do everything from designing to setting up email marketing campaigns. It was so easy! And everything was almost automated. Wix also has a great support team that can help 24/7 with a range of issues.

What do you like most about Wix?

I like the user-friendly features Wix offers. I feel like it’s website design for dummies. Also, while designing my entire website there were little tips that would pop up on the side suggesting what would be best for my website.

Is there anything you’d improve about Wix?

I would maybe improve the analytics portion of the platform. Although the feature is great and offered in your subscription, I feel like it could improve with more details about social media analytics tracking, especially for customers like myself that are focused on social media marketing for our brand.

How has having a website helped your business?

My brand is an e-commerce based business so we wouldn’t be operational without one. Almost 60% of our sales are from our Wix website, and Wix makes it so convenient to run my business smoothly every step of the way.

Sanctuary Christian Counseling is a concierge counseling center with eight therapists located online and in-person in Shippensburg, PA. They help grieving individuals, distressed kids and teens, and couples in conflict find peace, solutions, and connection. Ellen thought building a website would be fun and relished the challenge of it – saving money was also a priority at the time!

I have very little experience doing website work, but I found Wix intuitive and easy to work with.

Why did you choose Wix to build your website?

I had a little experience with other website building applications and I hadn’t had a lot of success with them. I found them clunky, hard to learn, and difficult to maintain. When I started with the Wix site, almost immediately I could do what I was trying to do – and I found it easy to make a great site myself.

How easy was it to build your website?

It was extremely easy to build our site. I have very little experience doing website work, but I found Wix intuitive and easy to work with.

What do you like most about Wix?

I love how easy it is to update, change and maintain our Wix site. Like building it, I find the maintenance parts of Wix easy to understand and maneuver. I would strongly resist changing to a different platform since I have such good results with Wix.

Is there anything you’d improve about Wix?

Occasionally Wix will make a change that doesn’t make sense to me, although it is almost always workable after I figure out what they’re doing. A recent one was the elimination of the “Add a blog post” button on the main page – I had to figure out where and how to do that, but once I did, it was fine. I’m not always sure why developers – including Wix obviously – fix something that I don’t consider broken, but they sure do! Most of the time when Wix does this, I can figure it out and it actually winds up working better – so maybe that’s my why!

How has having a website helped your business?

We had no website prior to our Wix site. It’s hard to measure just the metrics for the website since we also changed many things at the same time, but it certainly is a huge advantage having a site that people can access and learn more about us and our business. I can’t imagine doing business today without a website!

Would you recommend Wix to others?

Absolutely, and I have. My husband and I have two other sites: our travel blog, twotogo.net and our upcoming podcast, twototalk.com. Both are Wix sites because I’ve had such a good experience with Wix. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Which Wix Editor Is Easier?

With Wix, you have two choices – Wix ADI or Wix Editor:

• Wix ADI designs your website for you, based on your answers to a few questions. You can make edits to the final design, but this process is not ideal if you want total control.
• Wix Editor uses drag-and-drop functionality, meaning anything on your website can be repositioned simply by clicking and holding the item, then moving it where you want.

Wix ADI is easier to use because it does most of the hard work for you by creating a website bespoke to your needs. All you need to do is tweak it a little and you’re ready to publish! However, we recommend the classic Wix Editor instead – it’s still super easy, but gives you more creative control.

For those who are a little more tech-savvy, you can also use Velo by Wix. This lets you access and edit the raw HTML behind your template for even greater customization. Using Velo by Wix is by no means essential, but the option’s there if you want to dig a little deeper.
